As expected, finished the third installment (see the spy novels section). This last one brings closure to the Gatekeeping universe and ties up the loose ends from book one and two. I’ll be watching James Wolff for more.
A while ago I switched to jujutsu. We use it at work and I continuously try as much as possible to use the same things at home. It’s probably overkill for silly one-person hobby projects but it works with git backends, so why not. Anyways, I discovered jayjay. It is really polished, really cool. Between this Mac app, the VSCode extension jjk and the jj cli I feel well supported with jj.

Long, long time ago I was fully immersed in the Java world, knew every nook and cranny of the JVM. Did crazy things like generate byte code at runtime and then load it in with a class loader. Have long forgotten everything since then. This video was interesting to me, some people I recognized, many things I didn’t know (for example: the Oak team was briefly fired). To everybody’s surprise, Oracle seems like a good stewart of Java and the language is thriving and evolving.
I’ll end with this, which will undoubtedly bring me the wrath of our future robot overlords.
